Welcome
The Texas Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network (TXWARN) is designed to support and promote statewide emergency preparedness, disaster response, and mutual assistance for public and private water and wastewater utilities.
TXWARN is part of the National WARN Network that is supported by the American Water Works Association and other partners working together to build utility resiliency.
TXWARN is an all hazards system designed to help utilities with managing the consequences of any extended service disruption and recovery.
The TXWARN Web site does this by providing its members with emergency planning, response and recovery information before, during and after an emergency.
The TXWARN Web site and Network provides utilities with:
- A robust request and response system supported by experienced event managers to locate resources.
- A statewide omnibus mutual aid agreement and process for sharing emergency resources among members statewide including investor owned utilities.
- A growing database of resources to facilitate response and recovery from any event.
- Coordination with the TCEQ and the State Emergency Operations Center.
- Automated documentation for requests and record keeping.
- Emergency planning and response training.
- A forum for developing and maintaining emergency contacts and relationships.
- New ideas from lessons learned in disasters.
